Sun Fire is Templar’s ability from Dawn’s Wrath school. It is a medium ranged attack that allows you to hit target with a blast of sunlight and burn it. The spell animation looks similar to fireball. Requires Magicka energy.

Sun Fire is a very good spell for kiting an enemy because of snaring effect. This spell will help you to keep distance if you play with a bow or magical staff. Yes, Elder Scrolls Online allows any class to chose any weapon. Templar with a bow is absolutely playable.

After you hit an enemy with Sun Fire it is better to use another spell to continue your attacks. The target will be snared and it does not have sense to snare it once more. It is better to spend your magicka to cast something that deals more direct damage. When the snaring effect ends you can use Sun Fire again.
