Agony

Agony Requires Nightblade Cast Time Instant Cost Type: Active Medium duration spell that stuns the target and deals damage while the target is stunned. The effect disappears if the affected target receives damage from any other source.

Agony is a controlling ability that allows Nightblade to stun enemy for a medium time period and deal DoT damage during the stun. Agony effects will be disabled if the target receives any other damage.

Agony is a great ability to get rid of one of the enemies in massive combat. The stunning effect is rather long and this will give your party very good advantage. The ability is also great for PvP and can give you time to restore your health while the enemy will be loosing it.

The biggest minus of this DoT is that the effect disappears if the target affected by Agony receives damage from any other source. If someone hits the target stunned by Agony, the stun will be broken and the spell will be disabled. You need to pay attention to what’s happening around you before using this ability. Not all situations are great and sometimes it is better to wait. For example it is very difficult to prevent your allies from damaging the target affected by Agony in the center of a huge battle. But it is great to DoT and stun the enemy standing far from the center.

That’s why this spell can be used very effectively in small battles: 2 vs. 2 or similar. You can disable 1 foe with Agony and concentrate all your damage on the other guy.
