Jorunn the Skald-King is a ruler of Ebonheart Pact. He is one the main persons in Elder Scrolls Online. His homeland is Skyrim.
Jorunn was born in 2E 546 but he was not the only child of the family. He had an elder sister Nurnhilde who was fated to rule. The throne was not slated to be his so he never thought about it. Jorun studied at Skald's Retreat on the Isle of Gold. He was an extremely talented singer with a very strong voice and learned a lot from most famous bards of Eastern Skyrim.
The Skald Prince spent almost all his time among other artists. He traveled across Eastern Skyrim spending time in big cities. His travels were full of adventures. He was not interested in the art of politics but his natural charisma and leadership qualities helped him to become a leader wherever he went. In general, his youth was rather happy and fun.
Everything changed in 2E 572 when the northeast coast of Skyrim was attacked by the Akaviri of Dir-Kamal. It was a sudden strike. Jorunn the Skald Prince was in Riften at that time. He and his close friends started to move towards Windhelm. The city was under attack when they arrived. Without hesitation Jorunn entered the battle in the streets. Though he was a skilled warrior he didn’t have enough forces to beat the enemy. The city fell and Queen Mabjaarn and his sister Princess Nurnhilde were killed.
Jorunn was devastated having lost almost everything. He now felt a heavy responsibility for his people and the Kingdom. He decided to stop the Akaviri invasion. Jorunn moved to High Hrothgar searching for help. Greybeards summoned Wulfharth the Ash-King from Sovngarde to fight at Jorunn's side. This was truly helpful. The presence of Wulfharth inspired the Nords to fight for freedom. The Akaviri leader saw this and decided to move to Mournhold (city in Morrowind). He thought that the Nords would be happy to see the retreat of his army and let him go away. But he was wrong.
Wulfharth and Jorunn moved the Nords’ army into Morrowind in order to finish off the Akaviri invasion. Dir-Kamal was caught into the trap between the Dunmer and Nords. The great battle had begun but the united forces of Dunmer and Nords could not win even with their combined forces. The winning factor was the sudden surprising appearance of the Argonian army. The Akaviri forces were defeated.
Wulfharth the Ash-King returned to Sovngarde and Jorunn was crowned High King three weeks later. Now he is a ruler of the Ebonheart Pact.
