Gift of Magnus - is a racial ability of Altmer and Bretons. The passive increases maximum Magicka by (4/7/10)% depending on the rank. It is a very good passive for those who plan to rely on Class skills in battle.

Progression

The passive has 3 ranks. Each rank increases strength of the effects of the ability. You will need a skill point to advance to the next rank.

It is a racial ability and can be mastered if you belong to Altmer race or to Breton race. But these races can start using this ability on different levels:

Bretons:

1 Rank - 5 Level
2 Rank - 15 Level
3 Rank - 30 Level

Altmer:

1 Rank - 25 Level
2 Rank - 35 Level
3 Rank - 50 Level

Does the chart mean to say that Bretons get to raise their passive racial ability for more max magicka rank via Eye of Magnus racial ability at earlier levels than the Altmer race does?

  Yes, for Breton 1st rank – 5th level, for Altmer 1st rank – 25th Level. But the bonus will be the same :)
