Elder Scrolls Online Will Not be Holding Open Beta

I have sad news to all of you guys. If you are waiting for open Beta - forget about it. There will not be any Open Beta events. All the next events will remain close and you will require invitation to be able to participate. All those players that were invited to previous event will be able to take part in all future events. Here is a quote from official website:

We will not be holding a traditional open beta, but if you sign up to participate in the ESO beta prior to launch and are eligible per our Terms of Service, you will get an invite to a future beta event. We will be holding several very large beta sessions that include beta key giveaway promotions before the game launches. Please make sure to sign up for beta if you have not yet done so: https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en/beta

Good or Bad?

It’s difficult to say. It seems developers are going to invite all people who signed up for Beta to participate in next huge events. If it is the truth you have nothing to worry about. You will get the invitation sooner or later.

If you are not signed up – do it right now.

For many of ESO fans who signed up long time ago this news is probably not important at all. Most of them received their invitations and have tried ESO. There also was a huge key giveaway on Curse (about 500 000 invites were given away).In such situation open beta event is not required at all. Most of those players who wish to take part are in the Beta now. And according to the words of ZeniMax those who are not invited will receive their invitation soon.
