Reverse Slash deals physical damage. The spell has an important effect that must be taken into account: the damage scales depending on the target’s missing health. This means that the less health the target has the more damage the ability deals. Thus, there is the first rule: use Reverse Slash only against enemies with less than 50% HP. It doesn’t make sense to use the ability against targets with full health because it will not deal sufficient damage you're better of using another skill.

The mechanics of Reverse Slash makes it an outstanding finishing ability. You are fighting with an enemy and wait until he has 40-30% of HP pool left and then use Reverse Slash. The cost of the ability is not big and it’s possible to use it several times in a row. Your enemy will be surprised, of course if he stays alive after such attacks.
