Greater Ward is a passive ability that can be mastered after joining Mages Guild. The ability reduces incoming spell damage while blocking. Does not influence incoming physical damage. It is a great passive that is useful in both PvP and PvE encounters because it gives you permanent effect. You do not have to activate it during combat. The effectiveness of the spell increases when you level it up.
