Elder Scrolls Online is story-driven MMORPG. That means you are the main hero of the story. You start the game in the second era, 578 and as soon as your placed in the world of Tamriel you soul is stolen by non other than Molag Bal himself, the Daedric prince of domination and enslavement. He is known as having a desire to harvest mortal souls and it is even said he created the first vampire. You may be familiar with Lord Harkon, well it is believed that he was turned into a vampire by Molag Bal himself. The reason Molag Bal is present in Tamriel is due to the secret worshipping of Mannimarco, in the imperial city. The reason for his desperate summoning is the desperate situation he finds himself in, the High Elf (Altmer) necromancer knows of the weak state of the throne and the inevitable interest from the three alliances; so Molag Bal and his undead army are summoned from Cold Harbour. This gives your character a personal reason for taking control of Cyrodil as well as wanted your alliance to take the White Gold Tower and crowning a member emperor.

The general quest line is 100% solo but that does not mean you must play alone. No, you can play with friends or with other people and pass your quests together. Moreover, it will be easier and more profitable to play in a group.
As you know there are three main factions in ESO. Each faction has its unique quests leading to 50th level. That means you can play the game three times and have new leveling experience. Ebonheart Pact has its own unique quests. Aldmeri Dominion and Daggerfall Covenant also give you their own story lines.
One of the most interesting things in gameplay is classes. Classes in TES Online are not strict and each can be played according to your personal wishes. Each class can wear any armor and weapon. Skills can also be mastered according to your will. Every time you level up you receive points to increase your main stats: Health, Magic, or Stamina. Each point increases the stat by an additional amount per level. So you will meet a lot of different players with different skills, abilities and stats. Each class has unique special skills – ultimate. Ultimate skill can be placed into the sixth slot and charged through excelling in battles. Ultimate spells are very powerful.
Skillsand spells can be used through hotbar. It has 6 slots – 5 for normal abilities and one for ultimate. But that does not mean that character has only 6 spells. No, there are many available skills and you can combine them according to the situation. There is also one slot for portions and consumable items so portions are important too.
Combat in ESO is similar to previous TES games. If you played Morrowind or Oblivion you know how it works. There are light attacks, heavy attacks and blocking. These actions require stamina pool. Magic spells require mana. You have to aim at your enemy to hit.
After you receive 10th level you can participate in PvP. There is special PvP area – Cyrodiil where factions can attack each other. Though the max level is 50th there is no supremacy of high levels. Each player who enters Cyrodiil receives the max 50th level to be able to contribute the fight.
PvP combats are great and include capture-able keeps, destructible walls and towers, siege weapons, and so on. So it is not only about cleaning the castle or tower. You must do it keeping in mind that other alliance can attack in several minutes and you will have to protect the territory.
Crafting is a very important part of the game. Materials can be found everywhere – in the chests, on the shelves and so on. Soul Gems are also in the game. They can be used for crafting and enchanting.
Houses will also be in the game, but a little bit later.
